I require a $500 retainer to begin work on a case. The remaining $1049 is payable before filing the petition.
I accept payment in cash, check, or debit card. By federal law, you may not pay for bankruptcy with your own credit card. However, if a family member or friend is willing to pay my fee and filing costs, I can accept their credit card. The payment must be a gift, not a loan subject to repayment.
If you would like to discuss payment plans, we can do that at the initial consultation. In all cases, the full fee must be paid before the petition is filed.
